The 19th Session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-19) Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia, December11-14, 2012
FIG (IFS)
FIG Working Week 2012 “Knowing to manage the territory, protect the environment, evaluate the cultural heritage” will be held in Rome 6-10 May 2012 at the Rome Cavalieri Hotel. We expect more than 1,200 participants from 100 countries to attend this main FIG conference next year. The conference is organised by Consiglio Nazionale Geometri e Geometri Laureati (CNGeGL) and FIG. The main partner is FAO.
FIG will organise the first Young Surveyors Conference 4-5 May in Rome allowing young professionals easy attendance to the Working Week. FIG and IAG will also organise a joint technical seminar on reference frame in practice 4-5 May. A traditional history workshop will be held also in Rome 4-5 May.

- The 8thFIG Regional Conference is decided to be held on 26-29 November 2012 at Radisson Montevideo in Uruguay. FIG is happy to announce a Regional conference in Central America and are looking forward to many participants from the Central American region as well as international participants. President CheeHai Teo and Markku Villikka from FIG Office visited Asociación de Agrimensores del Uruguay (A.A.U.) November 2011 to start the planning of the conference.\

The Forum provide a platform for an exchange of views on the key policy and technology issues and the need for an improved regional cooperation in this field. Particular attention during the meeting will be given to (i) the necessary institutional arrangement at national level with an emphasis on how to promote a greater coordination within the goverment; (ii) issues of data accuracy and quality given the emergence of the crowd sourcing, open street map and VGI; (iii) issues related to GNSS, GPS, and geodetic systems; and (iv) the desirability of a Statenmment of Ethics for the global geospatial community.

“UNRCC-PCGIAP International Symposium on Spatially Enabled Government and Society” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 15th to 17th
P.S.> The informal PCGIAP EB meeting is planned to discuss on amendment of statute at 17th in the same place of symposium. Secretariat is preparing the revised version draft of statute with a president and a vice president. We are planning to bring it.
Please remind it and share your opinion on the amended version of statute at the symposium.
If there are any events relevant to our activities, please inform the Secretariat of the title, date and venue of the event at any time.
